What Does it Cost to Repair Common Chrysler Concorde Problems on Average?

Your Concorde is the quintessential Chrysler sedan: reliable, economical with fuel, and pleasant to drive. It wasn't without issue during its 12-year career, though. Luckily, the car's relatively inexpensive to maintain.

Here are three problems you might run into, how to deal with them, and what it might cost you.

1. Faulty Fuel Systems

If your Concorde is leaking gas from the fuel rail, the O-ring seals on the rail, or from the fuel injectors, there's probably a crack somewhere. This is a known issue for models from between 1993 and 2003 with 196,000 or fewer miles on their odometers these days.

Chrysler did a recall to fix the problem, but if you don't qualify, you'll have to reinforce the rail and replace the seals yourself. Seals run only tens of dollars in most cases, but fuel system repairs are more expensive. Fuel pumps, for instance, can go for $500 to $700, while fuel injectors can run about $300.

2. Bad Sensors

If your Concorde is having trouble starting, usually, it's because of a failed camshaft sensor or crankshaft sensor. This is a known issue for models from between '93 and 2004 with 221,000 or fewer miles on their odometers today.

You'll have to replace the faulty sensor(s). Crankshaft sensors run $100 to $140 on average, while camshaft sensors run $115 to $240.

3. Defective Suspensions

If you're hearing rattling or clunking while driving your Concorde at low speeds, then most likely, the sway bar bushings or end links in the front suspension have worn out. This is a known issue for models from between '93 and '04 with 230,000 miles or fewer on their odometers nowadays.

You may have to replace a stabilizer bar link; that can run $100 minimum. If you have to replace a strut, it'll usually run $400 or more.
